Boo Hoo

I was going through all my posts that I had started but hadn't finished and found this picture. It was so cool to meet Mitt Romney. We went to a meeting that he had with some really smart people from the space program and other companies involved in that sort of stuff. He was so intelligent and just knew the right questions to ask and how to answer the questions that he was asked. I came out of that meeting feeling so smart even though I had no idea what they were talking about. Anyway, he was glad to visit and take a picture with us before they whisked him away.

It was a sad day in our house when he dropped out of the race. Seth really wanted him to be our "prisoner" as he called it and we did too. Our president, I mean. :) I'm going to suggest that next time they have debates they put all the candidates in sound proof booths while they take turns answering the same questions. That way they can't steal anyone else's answer like they did with Romney. Anyway, I'm getting all worked up about it again. :)

Messy faces

Seth cracks me up with his gangsta style. He's always liked wearing his hat to the side. He even changes Ian's hat to the side. These next pictures are from when he was about a year and a half old.

January

My Dad's birthday is New Years Day so we all came together to celebrate. Allison, my niece, was the only one missing from this family picture and we are going to photoshop her in. I'll update it when it's done. The original eight kids are seated on each side of my parents with their spouses standing behind them. Planned pictures are hard to come by with this large group so this snapshot will have to do. :)

These are all the grandkids, except Allison, with Grandma and Granddaddy.

December

December is a big month in our house. The 22nd is mine and Seth's birthday and then of course Christmas.

For Seth's birthday we went out to the property Brent's developing and celebrated with family and some friends. He requested a Hot Wheels cake and I got as close as I could.
(Video)

All the kids had fun sliding down the big dirt hills and the adults had fun racing around on the 4 wheelers. Everyone was telling Brent to forget the houses and create Redneck World and charge admission.

Our family always has a buffet on Christmas Eve and all the kids there reenact the nativity.
Look at my handsome wiseman!

November

Seth is my big helper with Ian and the house. Obviously cleaning the tub is his favorite chore.

October

Janet and I tried to be creative in our picture taking. Ian did not appreciate our creativity.
Justin was a great sport. In Ian's defense I did wake him up from a nap and it was a cold, wet pumpkin!

Hangin' with the Romney's

Somehow we got invited to go to the Kennedy Space Center with Craig and Mary Romney (Mitt's son and daughter-in-law) Admittedly, we felt like a couple of groupies, but still thought it was fun to meet them. We even got a picture posted on the Five Brother's Blog.
